We are a Mental Health Specialised service offering support for individuals living with a Psychosocial Disability. We offer a wide range of support for self-managed or plan-managed under the National Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Core

Arts & Crafts

Our Arts and Craft group is designed to reduce risk of isolation while using your creativity. Our Arts and Crafts groups we create, talk and build connections.

We work on social skills while we focus on our projects.

This group is an ongoing group and has limited spots available. Support workers are welcome to join in.

Our team is there to support you to complete your work. No previous experience is necessary to join our group.

One of the key areas of this group is to support participants to focus, be creative and express themselves through their art.

Core

Social Day

Come and join us for our social day! The social day provides NDIS participants with a chance to spend time building community connections. We get together to play board games, outdoor games, drawing, fishing, swimming. We enjoy a BBQ at the park and have a chat.

This group aims to reduce social isolation by building meaningful connections. Participants are invited to join the activities and have a chat. We love having new people joining us!

Support workers are welcome to join in.

Our Team

Sabrina Louise

Manager & Allied Health Practitioner

Sabrina is a registered Rehabilitation Counsellor with the RCAA, Sabrina has over 12 years of experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities. Sabrina has worked in private setting and Not-for-profit organisations on the Gold Coast. Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science, Master of Rehabilitation Counselling, Grad Certificate in Autism Studies and Adv. Dip in Children`s Services. Over the years Sabrina has supported people with severe and persistent mental illnesses using a person-centred approach. Sabrina is a Trauma-informed counsellor and works collaboratively with participants and stakeholders to better provide individualised support. Sabrina provides support as a Rehabilitation Counsellor and Coordination of Supports and runs capacity-building groups.

The team

At Your Journey Compass, our team is made of workers from a variety of background qualifications and life experiences. Our team are qualified mental health workers that follow a trauma-informed care approach. We pride ourselves on hiring people who not only specialise in mental health but also have a passion for sports, nutrition, family care, gardening, walking or enjoy being out and about. Our team will focus on individual interests to best provide support according to what participants like and are able to introduce different options for activities and outings during community support.
